Abstract

Tonsillectomy is one of the most common surgical procedures performed in children. Although tonsillectomy is a safe procedure, it can be associated with intra and postoperative complications. The purpose of this article is to review the potential com- plications described in patients undergoing tonsillectomy considering the evidence and recommendations published in order to improve clinical decision making and perioperative management in our daily practice.
