Abstract

Trichilemmal proliferating tumor is an infrequent neoplasia, usually solid or partially cystic, originating in the external root sheath of hair follicle. It occurs mainly as a solitary lesion in the scalp in older women. We report the case of a 56 years old woman with a cervical tumor of nine years of growth. Histology of the resection specimen confirmed the diagnosis.
